Board Level Assembly

Welbor assembles both through hole and surface mount electronics for the downhole industry. Our assemblers are trained and experienced with high temperature solders such as SN96, 95/5, HMP, and SN10. Welbor's board assemblies have exhibited superior high temperature reliability with fine pitch surface mount components. Our facility has modern antistatic workstations and a potting room with ovens and exhaust fans for encapsulation or conformal coat.

 

Welbor provides fully assembled and tested chassis assemblies. In-house winding equipment is available for specialty transformers. Convection ovens are available for temperature testing of completed assemblies.

 

Turnkey Assembly

Welbor maintains mechanical inspection equipment for inspection of machined parts. In-house pressure and temperature chambers, dynamometers, and force gauges are available to perform acceptance testing. Our engineering staff can design specialized tooling for assembly and test. 

Actuator Assembly

We are a leading supplier of downhole solenoid, valve, and motor assemblies. We maintain a range of assembly and test equipment for these types of devices.

Wound Assemblies

Welbor has NC coil winding equipment for consistent, high quality coils, bobbin assemblies, and transformers. We maintain a large stock of type HML wire and fabricate bobbins from PEEK and other high temperature materials. We formulate special epoxy mixtures for encapsulation with good temperature and penetration properties. Winding and vacuum-pressure impregnation are all done in-house.

Engineering Support

Welbor can build your design from "green" or incomplete documentation. Our experienced engineering staff provides support on new designs, resolving documentation problems quickly.

Obsolete Parts Solutions
